Genesis 1:26–Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us.”
Romans 8:29—God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love Him along the same lines as the life of His Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity He restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in Him.
2 Corinthians 5:17—This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone: a new life has begun!
Colossians 3:9-10—You have left your old sinful life and the things you did before. You have begun to live the new life, in which you are being made new and are becoming like the One who made you.
I John 3:2-3 But friends, that's exactly who we are: children of God. And that's only the beginning. Who knows how we'll end up! What we know is that when Christ is openly revealed, we'll see him—and in seeing him, become like him. All of us who look forward to his Coming stay ready, with the glistening purity of Jesus' life as a model for our own.
